Jackson Wealth Management, LLC (“JWM”) is committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of your personal information. JWM is a registered investment advisor and maintains policies and procedures designed to safeguard “nonpublic personal information” as required by applicable federal and state law, including Regulation S-P under the US Securities and Exchange Commission and other applicable state requirements.

What We Mean by “Nonpublic Personal Information”

“Nonpublic personal information” (“NPI”) generally includes personally identifiable financial information and other information we obtain in connection with providing advisory services (for example, information from account forms, planning discussions, and custodial documentation).

Why We Collect Your Information

We collect and use NPI to:

  • Provide investment advisory and financial planning services;
  • Open, maintain, and service your accounts;
  • Verify identity and protect against fraud;
  • Maintain required books and records and comply with regulatory obligations; and
  • Comply with legal requests (such as subpoenas, court orders, or regulatory inquiries).

JWM obtains this information from various sources, including initial consultations, account applications, client questionnaires, interactions via telephone or video conference, written correspondence, and third-party service providers. JWM uses this data strictly for service delivery and regulatory compliance.

What Information We Collect and Maintain

Depending on your relationship with JWM, we may collect and maintain:

  • Identifiers and contact information: name, address, telephone number, email, date of birth, Social Security number/tax ID, and government-issued identification;
  • Financial information: account numbers, holdings, balances, transactions, income/assets, and planning-related information you provide (including tax and estate-planning related details when shared); and
  • Service and communications information: meeting notes, correspondence, and other records related to servicing your relationship.

All information is stored and maintained with commercially reasonable safeguards designed to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data, in accordance with regulation.

What Information We Disclose

JWM does not sell or disclose your nonpublic personal information to unaffiliated third parties for their marketing purposes. Any disclosure of your personal information occurs under the following circumstances and in strict compliance with applicable legal and regulatory standards:

  • Service Providers JWM may share NPI with unaffiliated service providers that perform services for us or on our behalf—such as custodians, portfolio/accounting systems, reporting platforms, compliance providers, IT and cybersecurity providers, document management/e-signature vendors, and other similar vendors. These providers are expected to maintain the confidentiality and security of information and use it only for the services they provide to us.
  • Business Transfers / Continuity of Service If JWM experiences a change in ownership, merger, acquisition, succession event, or advisor transition, we may transfer records as permitted by law to support continuity of service and regulatory recordkeeping. When appropriate, we will provide notice and/or obtain client direction/consent as required by your advisory agreement and applicable law.
  • With Your Consent JWM may disclose personal information with your prior written consent or at your direction.
  • Legal or Regulatory Requirements JWM may disclose personal information when required by law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or other valid legal processes, or when requested by regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over JWM.

In all cases, JWM strives to share only the minimum information necessary to fulfill the stated purpose.

Your GLBA / Reg S-P Privacy Choices (Opt-Out)

Under federal law, you may have the right to opt out of certain disclosures of NPI to unaffiliated third parties. JWM’s current practices generally do not include sharing that triggers a client opt-out right (because we share only as permitted for servicing, legal/compliance, or at your direction). If our practices change in a way that triggers an opt-out right, we will provide the required notice and a reasonable method to opt out.
