Our Team
Stefan Jackson, CFP®
Financial Planner & Portfolio Manager
I help families make confident decisions when the financial stakes—and the moving pieces—are significant. My work centers on bringing structure to complexity: coordinating investment strategy, planning, taxes, risk management, and legacy considerations into a single, clear framework you can rely on.
The most rewarding part of what I do is seeing clients move from uncertainty to clarity—knowing their plan is organized, intentional, and built to hold up over time, no matter what the markets or life bring next.
Professional Background
Stefan is the founder and owner of Jackson Wealth Management, LLC (JWM), a boutique advisory firm built to serve families with increasingly complex financial lives. His career has been shaped by working with clients where thoughtful coordination across investments, taxes, retirement planning, and legacy decisions is essential.
He began his career at AIG Retirement Services, focusing on retirement income planning and long-term strategy. He later expanded his technical planning experience with a consulting group affiliated with Lincoln Financial Group, supporting more advanced, multi-faceted financial cases. As Vice President–Financial Advisor at Personal Capital, Stefan deepened his expertise in portfolio construction, investment management, and delivering sophisticated advice while maintaining a highly personalized client experience. Today, through Jackson Wealth Management, he brings that experience together in a focused, relationship-driven practice centered on clarity, discipline, and long-term confidence.
Professional Designations
The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation is widely recognized as a leading credential in financial planning. For clients, it reflects a commitment to rigorous education, comprehensive testing, and ongoing continuing education—helping ensure advice remains current as tax laws, investment markets, and planning strategies evolve.
More importantly, it reinforces a disciplined, holistic approach to planning: looking beyond any single account or decision to coordinate the full picture. As a CFP® professional, Stefan is held to ethical standards and a fiduciary obligation—so recommendations are built around your goals, your circumstances, and your best interests.
Educational Background
Stefan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder, building a strong foundation in investment and financial principles. He later completed a Master of Divinity, which deepened his perspective on values-based decision-making and the human side of planning—especially during life transitions and multi-generational conversations.
To further specialize in financial planning, Stefan completed a Certificate in Financial Planning through Northwestern University’s School of Professional Studies, supporting the education requirements for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. He also passed Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program, strengthening his analytical training in investment research and portfolio management.
Personal Life
Stefan is a Colorado native and has been married since 2010; he and his wife are raising three children. Outside of work, you’ll usually find him at youth sporting events or in the mountains whenever the calendar allows—especially ski season.
Stefan also values community and long-term relationships. He brings that same steady, family-first perspective to his work with clients: thoughtful, grounded, and focused on what lasts. If you’re in the Denver-metro area, he’s happy to meet in person.
